Genshin Impact 4.0 Unveils New Regions, Characters, and Domains
Fans of the popular game Genshin Impact are in for a treat as developer HoYoverse (formerly miHoYo) rolls out its latest 4.0 update. The patch, named 'As Light Rain Falls Without Reason', introduces the much-anticipated Fontaine area to the game, promising new adventures and mysteries to explore.
The new regions available for players in the Fontaine area include the Court of Fontaine Region, Beryl Region, and Belleau Region. To access these, players must first complete the Archon Quest Prologue: Act III "Song of the Dragon and Freedom". This quest will unlock a Teleport Waypoint in the Realm of Farakhkert in Sumeru, which can then be used to travel to Fontaine. Additionally, players will receive Primogem rewards for unlocking this Teleport Waypoint.
In these new regions, thanks to Fontaine's Blessing, players can dive underwater to unearth long-hidden areas and solve intriguing mysteries. While in Fontaine, players will also obtain Hydro Sigils, which can be used to upgrade the Fountain of Lucine for various rewards.
The 4.0 update also introduces three new playable characters to the game: Lyney, Lynette, and Freminet. Each character brings unique elemental skills and bursts, along with different weapon types, enriching the gameplay experience.
Finally, the update adds three new domains: the Domain of Forgery: Echoes of Deep Tides; the Domain of Blessing: Denouement of Sin; and the Domain of Mastery: Pale Forgotten Glory. Each domain requires a certain Adventure Rank, thus challenging players to level up and explore new territories.
The Genshin Impact 4.0 update opens up a world of new possibilities for players, enriching the gameplay with new regions, characters, and domains. With this update, HoYoverse continues to cater to the game's massive fan base, offering new adventures and challenges. Whether you're a veteran player or a newcomer, the latest update promises a unique gaming experience.
