Among Us: What You Should Know About It

Among Us is a game that has been taking the internet by storm. If you haven’t played it yet, you’re missing out! Here’s what you should know about Among Us and how to play it.

What is Among Us?

Among Us, a social deduction game designed for online multiplayer experiences, was crafted and released by InnerSloth. This game became available for iOS and Android users on June 15, 2018, and was subsequently launched for Microsoft Windows on August 18, 2018.

Set within a cosmic environment, players partake in the game by adopting one of two primary roles—typically that of an impostor or a crewmate. The goal each player aims to achieve is contingent upon their designated role.If you are playing as an impostor, your goal is to eliminate as many crewmates as possible and disrupt the ship's operations. As a crewmate, your objective is to accomplish all assigned tasks on the vessel and identify the impostor among the crew.

The game accommodates between 4 and 10 players. There is also an option to play with bots if you want to practice before playing with real people.

How to Play

If you are playing with real people, you will need to use a voice chat program like Discord in order to communicate with your fellow players. Once everyone is in the voice chat, the host will start the game. The host is the only player who can start and end the game.

The game will start with a short period of time in which players can walk around the map and familiarize themselves with their surroundings. Once the familiarization period is over, the game will enter the meeting phase. During the meeting, players can discuss who they think the impostor is and come up with a plan for the rest of the game.

After the meeting, the game will enter the phase of the task. During this phase, players will need to complete various tasks around the map in order to achieve victory. The impostor’s objective during this phase is to eliminate as many crewmates as possible and disrupt the ship's systems.

If a player dies or is sabotaged, they will enter the emergency meeting. During this meeting, players will discuss who they think the impostor is and try to come up with a plan to win the game.

Once all of the tasks have been completed, or there are only a few players left alive, the game will enter the voting phase. During this phase, players will vote on who they think the impostor is. If the impostor is voted off, the crewmates win the game. If the impostor is not voted off, they win the game.

Tips and Tricks

Here are some tips and tricks to help you win the game:

  1. If you are playing as an impostor, try to blend in with the crowd and don’t do anything that will make you stand out.
  2. If you are playing as a crewmate, pay attention to your surroundings and try to catch the impostor in the act.
  3. If you think someone might be the impostor, pay attention to how they are acting and what they are saying. The impostor will usually be acting suspicious or saying things that don’t make sense.
